“How to get found in AI Search – is there value to trying to get ranked in ChatGPT now?”
The short answer:
ChatGPT (and other AI platforms) are NOT Search Engines – Ranking in an AI bot, will not necessarily drive in any traffic today. . . evolution is changing search, but today Google is the Search Engine you need to rank in for results.
While ChatGPT is a powerful AI chatbot, it’s not a search engine in the way that Google or Bing/Yahoo are. ChatGPT is designed for natural language conversation and generating text-based responses, whereas search engines focus on indexing and retrieving information from the web based on keywords or queries. However, OpenAI has integrated a search engine functionality into ChatGPT, allowing it to access and provide information from the internet in real-time. Given time, AI bots will be a powerful search tool, today the strongest AI Search is provide by Google and runs top of every Google Search results page today.
Be Proactive: Log into ChatGPT and make sure that the tool knows who you are, ask it to write an article about your business. Once the Chatbot has the article written, it becomes searchable by other users.
